Hello less stress! Moving into a retirement job.
Hello!
I hope the rain isn't bringing you down.

Lots of rain, sun, clouds, more rain, more sun, more clouds! And the wind! Oh, it howls here at Grand! It rocked the heck out of our boat the other day.
I guess that's why the lake was so quiet and empty. It was a Sunday afternoon, and hardly anyone was on the water. We saw no sign of rain, so we went for it. Plus, we already had guests, so we of course didn't want to disappoint anyone.
It took us most of the afternoon, but we successfully gave them the grand tour! From Wolf Creek to the Dam and back. It's days like that when you remember "this is what we work so hard for."
So, I guess it's time for me to officially let you all know I have a new job. I have a new hat to wear that I am super excited to announce.
I will be working at the Grove Alternative High School! Back to working with high schoolers and close to my grandsons.
I retired from being a full-time Realtor. My license is still active, and I can be a part of your real estate journey by helping you find the perfect agent to assist you with your real estate needs. Feel free to call, email or text still if you want to talk about it.
This life transition is what I call my retirement job. Less stress. More stability. My phone already rings less, and I am soaking in the sun and clean air a little more each day. My mind is shifting to more writing and ponderings.
I have more energy for my family and community, and will hopefully just be a better me now.
You probably know I have a habit of being a cheerleader, and now that I will be a working Ridgy, I will be shouting out my Ridgy pride. Grove's mascot is a ridgerunner.
But don't you worry, Bulldogs and the rest of the lake. I will cheer for you, too. Especially if you give me a heads up or post something on Peggy Kiefer-Steed - Life on Grand Lake.
Anyway, I don't know how many of you have had a life decision dropped in your lap, but this one was dropped on my lap like one of my weenie dogs, but heavier.
Business was busy but not productive for me in Real Estate, and I didn't feel I was in the right place any longer. It's a long story, but I am old and no longer want to hustle and bustle to make a living.
Anyway, I will now be working with our Mayor Ed Trumbell and guiding high school kids into their next chapters to become adults. I am super excited and confident that this is the next path I am supposed to be on and the next hat I am supposed to wear!
Thanks for taking the time to read these. Please tell your friends if you think they are interested. Iam going to put them into an email, and hopefully write more often.
If you have something you would like me to research or learn more about, please feel free to reach out at peggykief@gmail.com.
Happy hat wearing!
